Is Driving really that bad?
We are looking forward to our first trip to Spain/Andalucia and will be arriving mid Sept
at the Airport with Car rental waiting. Is it
hard to get away to the south (Toledo) by car because of traffic even from the airport or should we be looking at train travel? Our flight arrives around 8:00 am.
Much appreciated as well as any other tips on driving the Andalucia region.

The traffic is really not that bad, and even if it is, you will definitely want to drive it. It's so much more of an experience be on your own and drive. If you see something interesting, you may want to stop. I would only recommmend the train for really long trips like Madrid to Seville.

Driving in Spain is very easy, unlike Italy. Spanish drivers are reasonably polite and fairly well disciplined, even in the country. I am assuming that you even drive on the same side of the road unlike us Brits. The only place that I have been where it is very hectic is Madrid(not been to Barcelona yet)

Driving is Spain is no problem. Only finding a room on the go is!!
Trafic is bad around Madrid and Barcellona. Also the South Coast
Don't try to drive in Toledo (the old city)
Suggest staying in the Hotel Beatrix or the paradora and walking/taxi to the city gate!!
