Is 2 hrs enough for Frankfurt layover/customs?
I will be traveling to Munich with a layover in Frankfurt where we will have to go through customs. Is 2 hours enough time to go through customs, recheck luggage, and make a connecting flight?
Thank you!
Thank you!

I do not understand why everyone focuses on Customs - when all it requires is 2 minutes walking through a green line.
what you need to worry about is Immigration - because you must enter the country before even thinking about luggage. And Immigration can take a while if several large planes land at once - esp if one o r more is from a country with potential"issues".
But 2 hours should be plenty of time if your incoming plane is on time.

Normally yes, esp if both your flights are on Lufthansa or Star Alliance carriers. Then you stay in terminal 1 and your luggage will in all likelihood be checked through to Munich. In that case you can make the connection in as little as 30 min. If your incoming flight is delayed, LH will put you on next available flight. There are usually 12 flights a day from FRA to MUC.
If your luggage is through-checked, you only go through passport check (takes minutes) and security. Customs you go through at Munich (pretty non-existent).

Are you from the U.S.? I change planes often at Frankfurt the last one in April. There are two things you need to go through: 1. passport control and 2. carry on luggage security check. The latter is the more time consuming of the two.
Another thing about FRA is that the departure gates for the planes are very fluid. In fact, it have never matched what my boarding card said. If you plane lands in concourse A, but your next plane leaves from the concourse B, or vice versa, it is a trek via tram or by a moving walkway depending on where in the concourse you landed. They seem to be good at not making you change concourse as the last minutes, but still the gate number has been a pot luck. Even if they are both in concourse B, it is not as straight forward.
