Irish equivalent of Chipping Campden and Bakewell

We are looking to stay, during our visit to Ireland, in a small pretty town. We do not prefer the villages, with no services/shop/pub, or the large towns of 15k+. In England and Wales, we have thoroughly enjoyed week stays in Chipping Campden, Bakewell, Keswick, and Conwy. Does anyone have suggestions as to the Irish equivalents of these towns? We are not overly picky as to location.

Thanks!!!

Middleton, Co Cork. It's not surrounded by such pretty scenery, but it feels like the sort of town you'd like to live in.

Youghal, also Co Cork, though some might find the beach a bit tacky.

Kinsale (oddly, also in Co Cork) is the right size, but is more given over to non-Irish tourism. But its proximity to great scenery gives it an edge.

Donegal City.

It seems that Sneem is the town for you...colorful as can be...houses in all the primary colors plus...on the Ring of Kerry, with gorgeous countryside...we love it..a jewel in the tiara of Erin!

If you simply want to avoid towns of over 15K then you can visit Killarney and Dingle which are well-known tourist towns.Other attractive small towns include Lismore,Avoca,Westport,Kilkee,Cong,
Donegal town, Bushmills,Kenmare,Adare,Birr,Bantry,Lahinch,Ennisk erry,Kilalloe,Malahide,Carrickfergus,Portrush and Hollywood (County Down). Doolin, which features regularly here, is a very small village and is not marked on all maps.

Try Kenmare in Co Kerry just up the road from Sneem.
