We're planning to go to Dublin/Belfast, London, Scotland for 12 days next spring for our 25th anniversary. We've been to Western Ireland & to London on separate trips when we found great deals. But, how hard will it be to find good deals if we will need to book flights or boats between these places? Usually when we go somewhere, we just stay put & take day trips. Thanks for any advice! Happy trails

Flights btw London and Ireland are cheap, check Aer Lingus the further in advance you book, the better the deals.
Which part(s) of Scotland do you want to go to?
It's best if you compare the price of the package vs doing everything yourself. I'm sure doing it yourself will cost less, and you'll be able to choose everything, like hotels, flight/train times, etc.
If you're really planning to cram in 4 different places in 12 days (and you need to think through your itinerary carefully), your ONLY serious option for transportation between these locations is by plane. Ferries between the UK and Ireland are too slow for the frantic pace you are contemplating. Other low cost airlines to check out are flybe, easyjet and ryanair.
