Ireland with teen daughter

Jump to last reply

We (DH, DD - 13 yo and me) are planning a trip to Ireland during the first week of June for eight nights. DH and I were in Dublin for a long weekend about 15 years ago but did not have a chance to see anything outside of Dublin. We enjoy both what a city has to offer and the beauty of the countryside.

We are flying in and out of Dublin, likely staying in Dublin the first and last nights; thinking about basing ourselves in Kenmare and Galway (or does Connemara make more sense) for three nights each. We will rent a car when we leave Dublin - Hertz is our preferred rental agency but Dan Dooley was recommended also.

Any suggestions for family friendly hotels in Dublin (Harding Hotel is booked)? Thinking about vrbo or something that will allow for a little more space than a European hotel room in Kenmare and Galway. Any specific recommendations would be appreciated.
