Ireland - Need help with Itinerary
We are flying into Shannon on June 15 and flying out of Dublin on June 22. We will probably rent a care and drive our way around. What hight lights would you suggest we see on the way and where would you suggest stopping for a night or possibly 2. Looking for bnb type accommodations. There will be 4 of us. Thanks in advance.

Looks like you have multiple questions posted.
At any rate, 7 nights is not too much time to spend in Ireland. What made you pick Ireland as a destination - what do you hope to see? Also, depending from where you are traveling from, you will no doubt arrive jet lagged, so don't plan too far a drive on day 1.
With 4 people you will most likely need two rooms. If you could give us your lodging budget in euros it would help with recommendations. Also, as you are ending your trip in Dublin, I would return the rental car upon your arrival in Dublin - a car in that city is a hassle.

I would suggest that given 2 days at the end will be for Dublin, you have 2 days for 2 centres starting with Galway on arrival for 2 days/nights, drop back down to Ennis or Adare for one night, Then Killarney for 2 days/nights before Dublin.
Of course its your trip not mine so have a look at some good guide books, burn a copy of the Rick Steves guide to appease the gods and if there are must see places try to fit them into the time available.

or the anchor are city center where you can walk. Some of the others are to far out. Maybe someone here has stayed in a B&B in Dublin. I have not, always hotels or Apartments.

We picked Ireland because it has always seems appealing and a friend, that is Irish and has never been, wanted to go. Also, y mother is turning 70 this year and it was her request for a birthday trip. I was looking for driving plans to hit County Clare, Dingle Peninsula, Ring of Kerry, Cork, Kilkenny and Dublin. I'm getting all of this from a guide book but was hoping for some insight on "must sees" and "don't bothers". Do we have enough time for this? We want to see the "pretty places" and "quaint towns" and stay in small place for less than 100Euros per night. Where should we eat for authentic Irish food. Any "off the beaten path" recommendations are also appreciated.

The Typical Tourist trail for 5 days pre Dublin would be:
Cliffs of Moher
Dingle
Ring of Kerry
Blarney Castle
Rock of Cashel
Glendalough
Personally I try to be more off the tourist trail where possible.
Consider land Shannon and get the bus to Ennis. (Grey Gables Guest house? You can get an afternoon trip to the Cliffs of Moher and back or just get the bus there stay a couple of hours and the bus back.
Day 2 early bus to Galway, Take a Connemara Tour for the day dropping back for a second night in Ennis.
Day 3 Bus/train to Limerick and bus to Killarney. (Sunnybank guesthouse, Eviston Hotel)See the national park and Muckross house gardens or Ross Castle in the afternoon.
Day 4 day tour either Ring of Kerry or Dingle spend second night in Killarney
Day 5 bus to Cork either pop up to Blarney by bus or down to Cobh by train night in Cork
Day 6 if you want Mass then there are a couple of good cathedrals in Cork/Cobh
Possibly head by bus /train to Dublin in the Afternoon
Day 7 if not in Dublin, get there
Day 8 more Dublin or a day tour, Glendalough and Wicklow to the south or Newgrange ect to the north
Day 9 flight home.
Of course you can do all that and a little extra if you rent a car and self drive
Tony lives in Ireland and always gives top notch advice imo.
