Ireland itenerary help

Jump to last reply

My husband & I are planning our first trip to Ireland, the first week of April. We will be focusing mainly on the Southwest - Cork & Dublin. We're thinking of adding the Cliffs of Moher - is this too much for 7 nights? Here's my plan so far:

Day 1-2: 2 nights in Dublin
Day 3: drive to Cliffs of Moher (3 1/2 hours) - take walking/cruise tour of cliffs -- spend the night somewhere in this area - Doolin? Lisdoonvarna? Limerick?
Day 4: drive to Ring of Kerry, spend the night in Kenmare or Bantry -- is this too much driving for 1 day??
Day 5: explore Mizen Head, coast -- 2nd night in either Kenmare or Bantry
Day 6-7: Cork - 2 nights
Day 8: very early flight home out of Cork

Is this too much driving & not enough time just relaxing & enjoying the local scenery? We don't usually like to rush around & drive all day on our vacations...any thoughts or suggestions?
