To all you problem solvers,
I am in the planning stages of a Scotland / Ireland Trip. We have the Scotland part panned out and am starting out Ireland trip by flying from Edinburgh to Shannon Airport and will arrive on April 16th app. 6:30 pm. We have plans to be in Dublin for the evening of the 19th - the 22nd at which we will fly home. My question is, is there usually evening buses / public transit that can get us that evening to Doolin, and use that as our base for the 17th, and 18th for a daytrip to the cliffs and then the ferry to aran isles (probably on the 18th)? Does this seem reasonable? And how far is Doolin from the area in which you will get the best sights of the Cliffs? Thanks for the help in advance!!

For buses to Doolin go onto www.buseireann.ie. There is no direct bus from Shannon to Doolin. You will have to get a bus to Ennis first. Don't think you will meet the connection, other option is to get a taxi to doolin ir rent a car fie the few days. There is lots to do as well in Doolin, good Irish music, walks to the cliffs, Aran islands etc. for places to stay look at Doolin hostel (for the cheaper option), bus stops outside the door, or seaview house just up the road or horseshoe house. All next to each other. If doing the Aran islands get a combo ticket so that you can do the cliffs tour as well. Don't forget to go to the Doolin chocolate shop as well. Pub do good food as well. Hope this helps.
happy planning
Get to Ennis 18.55 Cork - Galway bus and worry about Doolin if thats a must the next day. Doolin is mainly B&B accommodation a couple of pubs and shops. Great for the Inis Oirr ferry with a Cliffs from the sea combi (best sight of the cliffs)but if you want Inis Mor best taking a day trip from Galway,
