ireland for 4 days
We have our sights set on a quick visit to Ireland in mid-October. We arrive London Oct. 16 and go out again Oct. 21 in the pm. No reserations for getting to and from locales in Ireland yet.
I know this is not much time but I am trying to figure out what we can manage. My husband hails from County Cork (not sure where but will find out) so we want to include a visit there.
I would appreciate any insights. Thanks ahead of time for any assitance.

You could certainly fly in/out of Cork Airport, and there is plenty to fill up your 4 days just in County Cork. Kinsale, Mizen Head, portion of the Beara Peninsula, Blarney, Cobh, and Cork City. You'll have a great time in those areas.

Kinsale and Cobh are very cute towns, as Budman says. If you want to go a bit farther north from Cork, you can check out Lismore - the castle/grounds are beautiful!, and Waterford for the famous crystal factory tour, if that interests you. There is a zoo (Fota Island, I think) in Cobh, if that's more your style.
