I will be traveling to Ireland in August. Could use any help in the following area: <BR>B&B, any you recommend ? Daylight hours, particluar to golf, How early or late can I start a round and expect to finish ? Will attempt to stay in Belfast one day any recommedations ? Castles, any you recomend ? And of course what should I avoid. <BR>Thanks in Advance for your time and assistance.

I would suggest you check out the website www.ireland-withpatpreston.com where you can get great advice from an experienced travel writer and guide. Pat has a Q&A board on her site, and she provides detailed responses to your Ireland travel questions. The site also has very good information about accommodations, restaurants, touring, shopping. And it has lots of links to many other Irish sites. I highly recommend it.

I have been to Ireland to visit family many times and enjoy it every time. I went up to Belfast 2 years ago and you should not miss the Giant's Causeway and Guinness Rope Bridge (it's been featured in Guinness ads). We went as a day trip from Belfast but I can't remember the towns near there. I'm sure it'll be in the guidebooks. Enjoy!

If you are a golfer, beginner or pro, play The Old Head course in Kinsale, absolutely perfect tract mostly on 200 foot cliffs over swirling seas. Book early though.

Hi Tim - My husband and I were in Ireland a few years ago and I remember well the Adare Castle - fantastic setting and gorgeous accommodations. Also, near Cork I would highly recommend the Ballymaloe Hotel and Restaurant. The owner has written a very good cookbook on Irish cuisine and a stay there is a bit of heaven. We hope to get back to Ireland next summer, and I can't wait! Happy travels, bushmama
