Ireland & Amsterdam
Hi All,
Planning a trip to both Ireland & Amsterdam at the end of April 2017. The plan is to have 5 full days in each place. Is that enough time for both places. For ireland we are planning to rent a car. How do I go about doing that? I only drive automatic. Where should we stay? Hotel? Airbnb? Castles? How long should we stay in Dublin? Where else are must sees? As for Amsterdam what are the Must sees etc? Thanks for all your help.

5 days is not long enough for a whole country and maybe too long for one city.
May I suggest you do some research because here as we cannot act like travel agents.
Must-sees can be found on the interweb. You then pick what suits your interests.
Accommodation will be the same look for something you like and can afford. AirBnB listed accommodation in Amsterdam is "under pressure" from the city government so it may be a riskier choice to book accommodation in that city on that portal.

It's not difficult to rent an automatic transmission car at Dublin airport. We did so just last month. I rented it through the Italian site of Expedia. Expedia gives you options for all rental agencies, and their prices include all necessary insurance, fees, etc.
I've seen recommendations for the Dan Dooley car rental agency in various travel forums and newspaper articles, so I checked them as well, but they were considerably more expensive.
We needed a car for five passengers and their luggage, and the agency that best met our needs was Sixt. Their service was prompt and corteous, and we had no problems with the rental. The car we got was a Renault Fluence, and it had plenty of room, without being too large for the narrow roads.

AirBnB is under pressure is an understatement in the present situation. Lots of 2 page articles describing the pressure AirBnB is created for an already crazy real estate market. Even middle income Amsterdammers are now being priced out of the city. So the political pressure has been mounting to "do something", and the City is now cracking down, law in hand.
