Ira, a question about B&B Peterson
Hi Ira, I'm in the early stages of planning a trip to Italy for next year and have seen your recommendation of this B&B in Florence. Normally, I would want to stay closer to the center of town, but that price is hard to pass up, especially with an elevator. Did you ever take the bus into the center of town? I realize it's probably not all that far to walk, but with all the walking I know we'll do, since I have arthritis in my knees, I try to minimize the walking where possible. Do you know how late the bus runs to get back to the B&B? Thanks for any information!

Thanks for topping guys.
Hi Susan,
You can walk from the B&B to the train station in under 10 min.
For those days when yourknees are bothering you, there is a bus stop just outside the door to the building.
For bus routes and schedules go to http://www.ataf.net/Default_EN.asp and click on "Maps".
The Peterson is in the extreme lower right hand corner of map number 9 on Via Guido Monaco.
The buses that stop there are the
33, 28, 23, 22, 14 & 13.
If you take the full loop of the 13, you get a nice tour of Florence.
