Inverness Northern Lights?

Jump to last reply

I'll be able to visit Scotland for 3 days in January. I was planning to fly to Inverness and spend one night there hoping for the one in a million chance to see the northern lights before heading to Edinburgh the next day.

IF a miracle occurs and its a clear day and northern lights are present (yes, I'm hopeful) , would I even be able to see them from the city or would I need to plan to rent a car/take a tour out of the city to get a good view?
