Interlaken to Berchtesgaden

Jump to last reply

We would like to travel from Interlaken to Berchtesgaden. It seems as though the most economical way is via train, although it's a rather long ways and we would probably do an overnight in Innsbruck.

We would be leaving on a Friday from Interlaken and would need to either be back in Munich or Zurich for a Monday flight back to the states (Salzburg has too many connections and poor times, unless it an absolute necessary to leave from there). Any opinions on how to make the most of those 3 days would be great. I understand that having to back track to either Munich or Zurich is not ideal.

Thanks!
