I can only tell you that there is snow at Jungfraujoch all year round I don't know about Innsbruck for certain but I have my doubts, I think you would have to go higher.

May is late for snow sports except at the highest mountaintops. There may be some places in the mountains near Innsbruck but I would check with the local tourist office to see if snow is still a possibility.

We have been to Jungfrau late May/early June and there was still snow at the very top - with some people skiiing - but don;t know how good conditions are or what is offered. Again you need to check to see options - and aso determine if you are OK skiing at that altitude.

I think that the only place around Innsbruck where there could be winter sports so late in the year could be the Stubaital Glacier, but I would not bet on that - due to global warming glaciers are melting all around the Alps.

The Stubai glacier near Innsbruck has skiing almost all year round. May is perfect.
