Info wanted on bus from Menaggio to Lugano and return
I want to take a day trip from Menaggio to Lugano by bus in late Sept. Most tour books recommend this trip but don't provide details. I found a web site that is supposed to have this scedule, but it hasn't been posted yet. Is this trip possible and practical with enough time to see Lugano? If I can't find the schedule before I get there, how can I find it in Menaggio?

This is the timetable - www.menaggio.com/ita/e-lakes/Orari_bus.pdf
Invernale means wintery - so for September look at the Estivo (= summery). Partenza means departure, Fer 6 means Monday-Saturday, Fer 5 means Monday-Friday, Fest means Sundays and public holidays, F means on days when there is no school incl. holidays, Capolinea means the terminus (end-of-line).

About Lugano: Not all that much to see, it's a nice enough business-like smaller city with a few pretty parks and a bit of lakefront, but nothing you don't see around Menaggio.
So when you get there, head straight for the Monte Brè, claimed to be "the sunniest mountain in Switzerland", with good views on a good day: www.montebre.ch/?locale=en
Then take a public boat out onto the lake, that's quite nice: http://www.lugano-tourism.ch/en/55/n...of-lugano.aspx
