In Paris, looking for good restaurants and pubs around Hotel Michelet Odeon
Staying in Hotel Michelet Odeon in Paris for a few nights and was wanting feedback on anyone that has stayed around there. Looking for restaurant and club recommendations.

Hi - You'll be staying in a great area.
Just across the street is La Mediterranea (seafood), Dallayou for pastries is on the street that runs along the Luxembourg Gardens. From the front door of the hotel turn right then left.
There's a couscous restaurant on rue M. le Prince - Le Mechoui. The food was good but the waiter was pushy. Be sure you ask prices before they bring anything to your table. This restaurant doesn't fill up until quite late (after 9:00). Before then you'll have the place pretty much to yourself.
Also on rue M. le Prince is the "old standby" the Polidor. An old established bistro formerly frequented by Hemingway. Recommendations: Beef burgundy, soups, steak with carmalized shallots, lamb with legumes, tarte tatin. The roast chicken was a very small portion and nothing to rave about.
Again on M le Prince is a small grocery that stays open late (at least until 10:00).
Chez Diane - rue Servandoni - turn right out of hotel, right again at Luxembourg Gardens - walk a few blocks and Servandoni will be on your right.
A place I loved was Marco Polo for Italian food. The staff was mostly Italian and wonderfully friendly. Fresh pastas and great tiramisu. Located at the corner of rue de Conde (street behind the hotel) and rue St-Sulpice. From hotel turn left; at corner turn right and walk 2? blocks. Restaurant is on left corner.
St-Sulpice is a short walk away and at the top of rue Bonaparte. Just after you enter rue Bonaparte is a pastry shop on the left (can't remember the name but it's been mentioned on this forum).
By the way, Hotel Michelet-Odeon is noisy on the back side. If you think you will leave your windows open at night ask for a room facing the theatre; that might be quieter.

If you want to eat French specialties, go to Bouillon Racine on rue Racine. it's a little crowded on weekends but you'll love it.
