In London from March 31 - April 2nd

Jump to last reply

I'm doing a Contiki tour with a friend (I know, I know) and we're in London for three days before the tour starts. I'd like to get as much out of London as I can, it's not explored by the tour. I've been researching hotels, transportation, and major sights to see. We're in London from March 31 at 8:30 AM, and the tour leaves on April 2nd at 5PM.

I'd like to stay in a hotel near where the tour starts, which is 38 Bedford Way, Bloomsbury, London (near the British Museum). Contiki charges $100 per night per person. I see cheaper hotels in the area through hotwire.com, is there a better way to find a good hotel near there with easy access to the subway?

We were looking at the London Pass, but I think a two-zone tube pass is the better bet. Is it best to buy that in advance online?
