impulsive trip to spain to see dd

Jump to last reply

i have decided on the spur of the moment that i cannot last for 5 months without seeing dd during her semester abroad in madrid.
the only time i can get away is during my spring break in april.
since i can't expect dd's full attention during her university studies, i figured i would travel a little on my own.

right now, i am planning to fly into barcelona arriving on april 5th.
i would ideally like to be in madrid on april 9th and fly out on april 16th.

since i will be there during semana santa, should i plan to be in madrid earlier so i could experience it on a day trip to avila, segovia or toledo?

would an overnighter to seville via cordoba make sense?

am i being unrealistic? trying to do too much?
there are so many options and i am not sure how logistically it will all work out.
help!
