Got mine yesterday at AAA; whole process took about 30 minutes.

Now, if past history with these wonderful documents is any indication, I am almost guaranteed that nothing bad will happen to us on the highways in both Germany and Italy. My previous IDP's never saw the light of day and hopefully, neither will THIS one!

What other purpose in life is left to AAA? We have GPS, the internet.....

I got tired of all the lectures and admonishments on that other thread and people can compalin all the hell they want...as to AAA, you can get some great travel deals if you use them for booking, price cuts, etc., but to each their own

Maybe AAA can work on shrinking those IDPs down to a more user friendly size.

The AAA merely issues them, it has no control over their form. That is, unsurprisingly, agreed on an international basis.

Dukey I hope you do not need it but better to have it than face the wrath of an Italian copper and a fine for not having one.
