Iceland: Shared Photography Tour March 2013

I will be traveling solo to Iceland in March and one of the things I am most looking forward to about my trip are the photo opportunities. I would really love to see the northern lights away from Reykjavik and to visit Jökulsárlón and some other places outside of the city.

I'm looking to do a shared photography tour in March 2014 with Owen of Iceland Aurora ( http://icelandaurora.com/tours ), which has great reviews here on TripAdvisor ( http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g189970-d1868462-Reviews-Iceland_Aurora_Photo_Tours_Private_Day_Tours-Reykjavik_Capital_Region.html ). I will be traveling alone, and have made a tentative booking for March 9 – 11, but am willing to adjust the dates within that same week.

Owen's proposed itinerary is as follows:

Day 1. Pick up from accommodation and drive to Skógafoss. Stop at Reynisfjall black sand beach and basalt columns. From there we drive to Vík and across the Mýrdalssandur and Eldhraun to Kirkjubæjarklaustur. Stop to photograph Stjórnarfoss. Drive across the Skéiðárarsandur and stop at Svinafellsjökull before arriving at the Jökulsárlón for sunset. Check into Hotel Hali and if conditions are right go back to the Jökulsárlón for nighttime photography and possible aurora photography

Day 2. Drive to mountains to photograph spectacular scenery before driving to Höfn and a beautiful little waterfall off the beaten track. We then return to Vesturhorn for sunset and a black sand beach. Back to Hali for a meal and then out later for more aurora/night time photography.

Day 3. Drive to the Jökulsárlón for sunrise before breakfast. Return to hotel for breakfast. Depart hotel and stop to photograph the lagoon before heading back along the south coast stopping at a gorge, Iceland’s southernmost point and Seljalandsfoss for sunset. Return to Reykjavik.

Is anyone interested?
