Sicily Trip Report May 2013 - LONG and DETAILED

The best time to visit Iceland is 15 June-15 July, when there is a good chance of very good weather, and when abundant wildlife and flora can be admired. Also, 15 June is the beginning of the salmon fishing season.
Watch out, however, for brutal changes of weather - especially if you go trekking around. Large drops in temperature and sudden storms may happen.
