Iceland in February - Friday to Tuesday -- Help!

Jump to last reply

My husband and I are headed to Iceland, arriving the morning of Friday, February 13 and leaving the afternoon of Tuesday, February 17. We know next to nothing about the country and could use all the help you're willing to give us!

Here are some details:
-We love adventure
-We love food and wine
-We will be with friends in Reykjavik on Sunday through Tuesday, but Friday and Saturday are totally free
-The friends we're meeting in Reykjavik Sunday through Tuesday have toddlers, so we should try to do any not-so-kid-friendly activities on Friday and Saturday
-We are staying with the friends Sunday-Tuesday, but need to find lodging for Friday and Saturday nights.

So....any thoughts on what we should do or where we should stay on Friday and Saturday? Any restaurants or activities we shouldn't miss in Reykjavik?

Would love any thoughts or recommendations you have!

Thanks in advance!
