Just spent 10 days touring the whole island(I was planning to go to Somerset, at the last minute end up to Iceland).

The whole trip was like going through endless geographical and geological wonders: glaciers, volcanos, highland black deserts, fjords, glacier lagoons, lava fields,new rocks,old faults,snow covered rugged mountains, green rolling hills....

In the Summer, it is full of life in Iceland: sheeps wandering everywhere,even high upon mountains; many species of birds I have never seen in North America; wide horese, foxes, fish,.

Except in glaciers area and highland, it is so green in Iceland. colourful wide flowers on green meadows, endless purple Alaska Lupins fully blooming and tress even forests.

Touring along the foot of thousands square miles of glaciers is almost like in a black and white movie, except the blue sky, Glaciers are such great dominating,menacing presence, it is an most unforgetable experience.

There ae so many things to do in Iceland horse riding along the seashore, fishing in mountains stream, hiking on kneehigh lupin blossoms up the hills,boating on glacial lagoon,driving on highland deserts, walking along the shore of tranquil fjords.The air is always so fresh and pure, it is almost sweet. Very often, hours after hours without seeing a car,a house or people,there is only pristine nature.

Old civilization, new culture: I am very impressed by many contemporary designed churches in Iceland, big towns or tiny villages, most of them are the best of minimumnism, with the simplest lines earnestly and silently towards the sky,
