I'm going to be in Iceland for 2 full days on an Icelandair stopover. I'm staying in a youth hostel, either in Reykjavic or in Njardvik or both. I know I want to go to the Blue Lagoon. Any suggestions for other good, and cheap, things to do?

I just got back 3 days ago - the Blue Lagoon is very near the airport and the best thing is to see it on your way BACK to the airport - you can pick up a fly-bus (make reservation). I found it sort of overrated and touristy. One bargain is a 2 day bus pass for 800 ISK. Ride in the city all you want and free admission to the folk museum and a few art museums. Also can get a one day pass for less. Buy it at the Tourist Center near the waterfront. The Volcano Show (movie) is also excellent. Iceland is expensive!
