Iceland Day 4 - Part II

Jump to last reply

Day 4, in Iceland, was one of our most action packed days. We were able to shoot sunset at Jokulsarlon Lagoon, which is amazing! The Lagoon is easily accessible and you're able to walk right up to the shoreline. It is truly an amazing sight to behold. Huge chunks of ice, floating through the lagoon on the way to the ocean. Larger ones get "stuck" and stay in the lagoon until they melt enough to fit through the narrow channel to the sea.

We stayed at the Skyrhusid Guest House, an awesome little hostel/hotel just a few minutes from the Lagoon. We loved it!

After sunset photos I attempted to capture the northern lights (aurora borealis) and the Milky Way. This was challenig, but, I was able to finally nail a few shots after trial and error.
