Although I'm from Spain, I've never visited Ibiza. But what I know of it from friends, it is just a beautiful place , beautiful beaches and landscapes. But it is true that Ibiza has a big nightlife and it's famous for that. Anyway, you will love to visit the country , the little villages which are still not very known of tourists

i have been to ibiza a few times and do what we usually do on vacation.. relax.. and try to find nice restaurants, hike and spend a little time at beach, walking around the old town, etc.
we had a car to go around the entire island. and enjoyed two/three nights there, visiting coves and off the beaten track areas. If you don't get any exact addresses from this board, go to www.ibiza.com to see a bit about the island.
i assume you know there aren't a lot of musuems, etc.. and as most islands.. it is just for relaxing and has a laid back very transparent, hardly clothed atmosphere about it. the waters are very beautiful, but if you have been to the carribean, it may be a little disappointing.
i am sure you will enjoy watching the slightly clad swedes and young spaniards as they let it ALL hang out.
go to "bigote", a restaurant on a beach.. no phone.. just GO . Very famous.
you will enjoy finding small rural hotels and restaurants as you research the island.

I've only been there for brief visits in winter when there are very few tourists, nearly all the night clubs are (fortunately) shut, and Ibiza town is absolutely delightful. My visits have been for only a day or two, so I'm not sure what to suggest for a six-day stay. It's easy to do a day trip to Formentera which is a quiet, unspoilt island but there's not much there except beaches.

Ibiza can certainly be "party central" (I know because we are going back there in a few weeks) and like a lot of other party centrals whether or not you participate (or choose to stay in places adjacent to party centrals) is obviously up to you. Nobody is going to drag you out onto the dance floor.
There are some very nice beaches and some nice quiet spots. Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of other things to do besides relaxing/swimming and shopping (and avoiding party centrals) so get ready to chill out and work on the tan I guess.
