I think I've Got It! But Please Tell Me If I Don't..2for1 and Travelcards

Jump to last reply

With our Chelsea flat awaiting us, tickets to "The Book of Mormon" in hand, reservations for tea at the Wolseley, my daughter, husband and I are ready to celebrate my 60th birthday and the Queen's Coronation Anniversary.

This is our 3rd trip to London with our sixteen year-old daughter and we originally had planned to give the Tower and the Abbey a miss as we'd been before. Although my DD and DH had climbed to the very top of St.Paul's, I had a piece of cheesecake in the cafe, they hadn't had a chance to see the interior and we thought we would revisit the Cathedral as well as Hampton Court.

Now it appears that my DD doesn't remember anything about the Tower and we plan to go there as well. So I am rethinking my plan to not buy the 2for1s.

Let me see if I have it right: We are there for nine days. We are taking the tube from Heathrow. We have oyster cards for three from our previous visits. We plan on loading some PAYG money on the cards to take us in to London from the airport and to cover the the rest of the day and the last day of our trip, on which I know we will not want to hit a major site. For the week in-between, we will go to the Victoria Rail station and buy the 7day paper Travelcard. This will cover the 2for1 passes for my husband and I. My daughter also thinks she wants to see the zoo. DD and DH are thinking of Madame Taussaud's. I will probably go to Leighton House.

We all have passport sized photos. I am printing 2for1 vouchers for every possible place we may visit.

Does this sound okay? Or am I missing something?

I appreciate the infinite patience that you all give to these questions. Your help is always appreciated.
