How to walk from Burg Rheinstein to Burg Reichenstein
Is there a path/route to walk from Burg Rheinstein to Burg Reichenstein without walking along 9 (road/highway?). Or is walking along 9 safe?

Well I've not done it but looking at Google there seems to be a bike path on the riverside after the railway line, that would make good walking.
Street view is verboten in much of Germany, I guess, if no one else knows drop and email to tourist info.

There is a cliffside trail that you can take from behind/above Rheinstein to Trechtingshausen via "Morgenbachtal." I've hiked only the part from Bingen to Rheinstein. You'll probably find path signage similar to this (these are signs near the Trechtingshausen end, I believe.)

Click on #1 Bingen-Trechtingshausen under "Die Etappen" below for a map of this route; I believe Rheinstein is located roughly across the river from the north end of Assmannshausen at the spot where the Rheinburgenweg (trail marked in red) is closest to the B9.
