How to get from Rome Airport to St. Paul Outside the Wall church

Jump to last reply

I may be traveling to Rome to join a USA Pilgrimage. I wish to use air award miles for the flight segment. This saves me money but is a problem joining the group in Rome.
The main group will arrive in Rome ahead of my flight and depart by coach for the day's tour. The hotel is 45 minutes outside of Rome so the tour director recommended that I join the tour at their last site which is the Church of St. Paul Outside the Wall. As a last resort, I could take a taxi to the hotel. She did not think that the bus would want to pick me up at the Rome main train station.

How difficult would it be for me to get to this church from the airport WITH MY LUGGAGE?

I assume I would first take the train from the airport to the main train station in Rome (what is the name of this station?). From there, how would I get to this church?

Thank you all so much! Using separate air with award miles will save me over $1000. so I really am looking at this option.
Tour is next Spring - March 24.

Thank you all.
Mary Ann
