i am arriving in Npales on Oct 5th evening time. I supposed to get a car on Naples train station but i was looking for another option. I know that there are ferries that leave naples to sorrento but i am not sure about their schedule in october. because is not high season.

In one of your other questions, you wrote, " i have a flight arriving Rome at 12.10"...

With that timing you should be down in Naples well before it gets dark - and taking the Circumvesuviana train would be fine!

The hydrofoil schedule for early October won't be published for some weeks yet... although it's unlikely that the departures to Sorrento will be very different from those now:

From right outside terminal 1, you can catch the Curreri bus to Sorrento (if the times work for you), or
Take the local Alibus to the train station and catch the train to Sorrento.

Wow - I think it's quite rude to thank one person by name and totally ignore others who have tried to help you. Perhaps their sugggestions were not what you wanted but they did take time to try.

I think the OP is arriving Naples train station, not the airport.

I would not go through the trouble of getting from the train station to the port in Naples, catch a ferry, then having to get from the port in Sorrento up to Sorrento. Much easier to take the train to Sorrento and not fool with ports and extra transport.

Sorry anyway, no offense taken - my mistake for not paying enough attention that op is arriving at train station. Of course, if you are already there, train is easy choice.
