How to find hotel accommodations in Valencia for Las Fallas?
Does anyone have advice for finding decent accommodations for Valencia, Spain, the week of March 16-22, 2007, for a family of four?

Bakerstreet: I will be escorting a school group to Valencia during the last portion of Fallas. I would be interested in chatting with you about your plans. If you wish you can contact me through the following email: [email protected]
Hope to hear from you.

i have seen on www.rumbo.es that the catalonia excelsior ( excellent location for fallas) has doubles with buffet breakfast for 86 euros.
try to contact hotel directly to see if they have any family rooms, and if booking with them is same price. their cancellation policy might be easier than a third party website.
this price for fallas is excellent.

Hi Lincasanova. I am hoping you will contact me about having our school group possibly meet up with another school group in Valencia. You mentioned this idea several months ago and I would like to pursue the idea further. Looking forward to hearing from you.

please contact the american insitute and tell them i sent you to see if their spanish students would LIKE to participate one or two days/mornings with your group.
this institute also sponsors a huge paella in front of their local falla one of the days you will be here, i hope.
it would be a fun thing to see.
they are probably closed for august, but you should get a response in spetember. perhaps they could find pen pals for your kids before they came and really get a relationship going. what are the ages of your students?
BTW, this is a great small school for learning spanish as a foreign language. they also give english and other languages with native teachers.

Thanks Lincasanova. I have sent them a message with a request to chat about having two student groups meet (at least for a short time). I used your name in my request. The idea of pen pals is a good one and I will offer it to the students in our group. My students are between 15 and 18 years. We are travelling with 24 boys and 12 girls - all relatively responsible and mature. My son was in Valencia in June for 5 days and he loved it. I am really looking forward to our time in Valencia
