I know this seems a dumb question, but friends have asked us to bring some Aussie beer and wine with us. Does anyone know the personal limit?
How much alcohol can you take with you INTO Germany?

Just in case anyone's interested, I've found out from another source that there are no limits.
hi there,
bringing beer to Germany is lije owls ... You know. Even You can buy most of the australian beers and wines here for a good price. And: Shure there is no limit – if You cross border from another EU-nation. But Australia is not.
Anyway - prost.

Rhonda, after a little web searching, I found the following at Virgin net (http://www.virgin.net/travel/guides/europe/germany/dutyfree.htm): 1 litre of spirits with an alcohol content exceeding 22% by volume or 2 litres of spirits or liqueurs with an alcohol content not exceeding 22% by volume or 2 litres of sparkling or liqueur wine.
Is beer considered a spirit? I don't know.
