How long to clear immigration at CDG from Czech Rep.

I will be flying into CDG from Prague in July and need to catch train from the Term. 2 TGV station for Avignon. Since Czech Rep. is not a Schengen member how long can I expect it to take to clear immigration? I will arrive at CDG at 9:05 am. Need some kind of idea before I book train ticket.

As always, thanks for any offers of help.

CDG is a slow, cumbersome airport, if one can generalize. Are you flying into Terminal 2? If so, I'd give yourself an hour and a half (I have waited 45-50 minutes for luggage in that terminal). If you're flying to Terminal 1, I'd make it at least 3 hours.

I will have only carry on luggage. I am just wondering about time to clear immigration. Coming in from USA it has never taken me more than a few minutes but just wondering if coming in from Prague with it not being a Schengen member if there are any delays. My flight arrives at 9:05 into terminal 2 and I would like to get the earliest possible train out of Term 2 to Avignon.

Thanks for your responses.

LarryJ:

The only time I have come into CDG from another European country (Italy), it took 45 minutes to clear immigration - but I had luggage. Without luggage, I would guess maybe 20 minutes at most (there are sometimes LONG lines at CDG even early in the morning).

So, to revise my estimates, since you're coming into aérogare 2, I'd say allow an hour. If you have to pick up tickets at the SNCF Gare at the airport, allow another 15-20 minutes.

Hope this helps!

I am going to buy and print my ticket online at the SNCF website. My flight arrives at 9:05 if on time and I'd like to make the 10:10 train to Avignon. With my senior carte I can get a non-refundable ticket for just 60 euros on only this particular train. I think I'll take a shot.
