How long does it take from Dublin City Centre to airport by cab?
We're on a 10:45 a.m. flight out of the Dublin airport after a week in Ireland. We'll be coming back to Dublin the late afternoon or early evening before. Is it worth it to stay in Dublin or are we better off to be by the airport? I read somewhere that it would take a couple hours to get from the city to the airport in morning traffic.

I was last in Dublin in October...I was with 2 friends on that trip...we left on a Sunday morning (so, traffic was not a factor). However, we reserved a taxi the night before (taxi company) to pick us us at Kilronan Guesthouse (near center of Dublin) allowing an hour to get to airport...but, it probably only took 20 minutes or so....
What day are you leaving?
I would probably allow at least an hour on a week day....that is my guess...
Lets get our Dubliners expert opinions though....

takes about 30 mins on a good day longer during rush hours. Obviously depends on traffic.
At the moment there are major roadworks as they are building a tunnel under the river.
cost should be about 25 to 30 euros depending on what part of the city.

Its should be about 30 minutes at that time as rush hour is over. Also the airbus which is a private company not to be confused with the regualr bus that stops at the airport, stops at various places in the city and cost 7 euro and is very efficient and fast.
