If you are looking for bars and parties, I don't know about the nightlife except that to drink in a bar in Scandinavia is very expensive due to high taxes. Scandinavians seem to do their partying on the ferries where drinks are much cheaper. Finlanders go by ferry to Tallin to buy booze.
Have heard though that young people throughout Europe find Helsinki a popular place for nightlife.
My nightlife tends to be at the theater.
