How Far In Advance--Last Supper Reservations?
DH and I missed the Last Supper last time, so we want to make sure we have reservations for the next time.
We're flying into Milan for a day or two. I found the number to call (will have to call from the US, but that's okay)
I'm just wondering how far in advance this can be taken care of. Last time, we left it too late, tried to do it on a Saturday and were rather brusquely turned away.
Can we call six months in advance? a month? a week? Any help appreciated. And has there been an online service added?

I made my reservations in February for May 11, and for the entire day, there were only four openings left! I was in Bellagio, and I took the train from Varena to Milano, for my 1:30 reservation. Better to make them online and then you can see what is available. www.cenacolovinciano.org/english. It was well worth it! The groups are very small, about 20, and you go in as a group for 15 minutes. You go through 2 or 3 sets of doors where you are buzzed in before you get to the Last Supper. I heard that they are completely booked through September. It was amazing, because everytime I went to the reception desk on my trip last month, someone would be asking the concierge to get them tickets for tomorrow! to see the Last Supper.

Koshka - My husband & I saw The Last Supper in May. I confess that I waited too long to reserve the times we wanted. I called several months prior to our visit for 2 tickets to be used on a Saturday. The only time they had left was 6:30pm - not convenient for our itinerary; however, I grabbed them. We did arrive early to see if we could be admitted prior to our assigned time - we were told to wait. I did notice 2 people showed up about 6:15 and there were 2 no-shows so they were allowed to get see the painting. To answer your question, call as soon as you work out the details of your trip. Good luck and have a wonderful time!

Upon reading this thread, I immediately proceeded to book online for our trip to Milan this September.
Fyi, the online-booking (as kindly provided by italyss above) was painless and the cost was E8 per person.

If booking online doesn't work, then try calling. There were no openings for our date for reserving by web, but when I phoned, there was no problem.
We booked at least 2 months in advance for May viewing.

I also looked up May openings online. The web site was not clear as to just how far you can book, but it appears they only have up to the end of March available. So I am guessing the online booking is avaiable to about 4 months ahead.
