How early to get to VCE-Marco Polo for 1 p.m. departure?

Jump to last reply

For those of you who have flown out of this airport recently, is it really as much of a madhouse as I've read on some other forums? October is still high season and 1 p.m. is middle of day. Have never flown Vueling so decided to pay the extra fee to get an advanced seat and my seat resv is confirmed via an email. Just concerned that I might need to arrive extra early? What say you, Venice experts?

Also, since I'm staying in eastern Castello in an apartment, am thinking I should stay near Piazzale Roma for my last night so I can take the fast bus to get to airport early (or even a land taxi?) I've already asked this in another post--any suggestions about decent budget hotel near the Piazzale? Someone suggested "Hotel Capital" but can't find anything with that name.

Thanks!
