How do we find a great (4 month) apartment rental in Paris?

Jump to last reply

Good friends are looking to rent an apartment in Paris for a semester (about 4 months) in 2013. They know the city well, but normally go for short stays so they need to find a different apartment from the one they rent for one-week holidays.

Does anyone have experience in renting longer term in Paris? We are interested in both specific leads to properties or agencies, and general advice about how the longer-term rental process differs from the holiday apartment booking process.

The ideal apartment would be 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in the 1st, 3rd, 4th, 11th or maybe parts of the 12th. I don't know the budget; they are just getting started on exploring options.

Thank you for any personal experiences that you might share.
