How do I get from Chisinau Moldova to Bucharest, Romania

We are planning a family trip this summer. My son is in the Peace Corps in Moldova. We managed to get him some award travel via Bucharest, Romania. What is the best way to get from Moldova to Bucharest-train or bus and how reliable is it? How long will it take? Is there a websit I can visit?
