I will be in Paris for just 1 evening (sob)
in late August and would love to stay on
the Ille de St. Louis, as I did previously.
Can anyone recommend a "special" place to stay?
Thank you

I believe there are only 3 hotels on the island, in any case, so it should be a fairly quick decision: the Deux Isles, Hotel St Louis and Jeu de Paume. I have not heard raves about any of these; some are okay but room quality widely varies from what I've heard; another current post says the St Louis did not honor their reservation. The Jeu de Paume is the highest-rated (4-star), so that would be my best bet, if you want to pay for that. I think hotels on that island are somewhat overpriced.
There is also the Lutece, which is the same rating as the Jeu de Paume. It's a couple of clicks away from the Deux Iles (I think it might even be a sister property). By the way, I've stayed at the St Luois 3 times and have never had a problem. They are the most bare bones of the four.
Thank you both. I will try all of the
above choices, hopefully someone can fit us in for one night.
