Hotels in Venice

I have been researching hotels in Venice. I was wondering if anyone prefers one of these over the other. The Carlton on the Grand Canal or the Hotel Rialto. Both are around $230 and it looks like both have air conditioning. We will be going in July. Any other suggestions are appreciated. Thanks
