Hotels in Sorrento

Planning to visit Sorrento and surrounding area in October, with my daughter and son-in-law, we are looking for a 4 star hotel, with beautiful view and spacious rooms, must be efficient and clean. Please advise if you have a good recommendation.

Check out the Hilton in Sorrento. That's where we are staying. It looks beautiful on their website and google maps. Of course, we haven't been yet (going in July) but the reviews on tripadvisor seem mostly positive.

Check out the Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria. It's 5 star but the only hotel I've stayed at in Sorrento. You might be convinced to add a star. The rooms are large, the location is great, the views couldn't be more beautiful and the grounds are lovely too.

We really liked Hotel Tramontano, a 4-star hotel located very close to the old town part of Sorrento. We had a spacious room with balcony overlooking the Bay of Naples. There's a swimming pool on site, and a tiny strip of beach at the bottom of the hotel.

You could also look at Belle Syrene, a few blocks away from Hotel Tramontano. I think that hotel has slightly better reviews, but may be pricier.

www.hotelantichemura.com/en Can't say enough about this hotel.

If coming by train, just get off the train and perhaps 100-200 yards down a small grade and this hotel appears on the left.

Bellevue Syrene if you want to be right on the edge of the cliff.

I also like the nearby Tramontano.

Definitely check out Excelsior Vittoria. Gorgeous garden and pool, yet right in the center of town - and incredible views from terrace or balcony over the bay of naples. Also free parking.

breakfast is fine. We found dinner better at rests in town.

Hilton is great but a fairly short walk down into town. The walk back up burns off the calories! Fantastic views from my room!
