We are going to Reims for 3 nights after a week in Paris and would like some suggestions on hotels that are within walking distance of the train station.

I've stayed at the Best Western in Reims a few times (only for a single night at a time whilst heading further south from the UK) and found it perfectly amenable.
I think it's about a 10 minute walk from the station. I'm not a huge fan of staying in chain hotels whilst on holiday (I get enough of them on work trips) but found the location, staff and service top-notch every time I've stayed there.
They, understandably, have a pretty impressive champagne bar and a really impressive courtyard area where you can sit and sup your flute (or three) of the local product. The rooms are nothing to write home about, but they're clean, fairly large and you're a leisurely stroll from the cathedral , shops and bars.
We spent one night last month at the Ibis right next to the SNCF station. I don't recall seeing another hotel that near the station. The room was quite small but very effeciently arranged including a desk with electrical outlets. The bedding was nice, everything was very clean including the tiny but perfectly functional bathroom. Our room was €79/night.
I'm not sure I would like to stay in such small quarters for several days, however. Also, both the station and this hotel are a 10-15 minute walk to the part of town near the cathedral and pedestrian zones where there are restaurants and shops.
