we will be in the dolomites at the end of june for 4-5 nights and want to pick a base.
Has anyone stayed at the Chalet Pra Ronch, Via La Selva 80, 39048 Selva di Val Gardena, Italy ? website looks great, tripadvisor reviews are only in winter. is it a good location for hikes, scenary, charming?
or should we stay in ortesi? i read good reviews about Hotel Uhrerhof-Deur but am concerned if it is out of the way.
we would like to be able to walk into a small town, not have long windy roads.
other option is to spend 3 nites in one area in val gardena and 2 nights in cortina d'ampezzo.
Hotel Uhrerhof-Deur, ortesi or Chalet pra ronch, via la selve in Dolomites?

The Uhrehof is too isolated for my taste.
Stay in Ortisei or Selva. Have you found the Ms_Go trip report yet---a must for you.
