Hotel Saint-Louis en l'Isle - too good to be true?

Jump to last reply

We have a reservation at the Hotel Saint-Louis en l'Isle in Paris. We're paying 199 euro for a superior twin room. The location is incredible, right on the island. Most of the reviews on TripAdvisor are excellent, but there are some really bad ones (most from several years ago, however).

Have any of you stayed here recently? I tend to trust the Fodors Forum for being honest. We love the location and the price. I've spend HOURS searching for a Paris hotel for under 200 euro (the latest conversion says this is about $270 US). This one is right where we want it to be and the price is right. We want to walk to as many places as possible.

I've read through many posts on Fodors about Paris hotels, but this is the one with the best price and location so far (but source is not Fodors).

Hard to believe that so many people are spending $350-$500 and up on hotels in Paris!! We're both professionals with decent salaries, but we're balking on spending that much.

Before I send in the final deposit, would love to hear from anyone with information on this hotel.

Thanks! Leslie
