Hotel recommendation near LHR

We just made a change in flight plans, and now find ourselves in need of a hotel near LHR that has a nice bar and a good restaurant. We will be arriving at 4:50, and have a 10:30am flight the next day. We do not want to rent a car.

Thanks for your help!

What is your budget? I presume you're not planning on going into London for the evening?

the Heathrow Hilton Hotel is actually linked to Terminal 4 by a walkway and it's a snap to move between Heathrow terminals via the free Heathrow Express train service within the airport that serves terminal 4 and a combined stop for terminals 1, 2 and 3, which are adjacent to each other.

WillTrav:
Budget is not a major concern. We don't plan on going into the city, just want someplace comfortable to spend a nice relaxing evening. We'll be coming up from Nairobi, and are sure to be tired.

PalQ:
Is the Hilton nice? We've actually booked a "day room" there on our trip over, but wasn't sure about spending the night right at the airport.

Well i had time to spare before my flight home last December and in terminal 4 saw the walkway to the Hilton - it's at least a half-mile covered walkway corridor and the Hilton is really quite isolated and though i didn't stay there walked thru lobby and the place looked magnificent - the clientele seemed mainly business types and the place looked spanking brand new. As for noise any hotel within a several mile radius would have the same but the Hilton seemed in a quiet area away from the runways.

I've stayed at the Hilton at Heathrow a couple of times. It's quite nice, and yes it is pricey but, it is very convenient. You do not need to even leave the airport. You'll be fine staying there.

Have a great trip.

If you're arriving at T4 then the Hilton is the best choice. It may be a walk but it's a far more convenient journey than transfering to T1/2/3 via the Hex and the long tunnel to catch the Hoppa - very unpleasant with bags.

If your departing flight is also from T4, so much the better.
