HOTEL NEAR RUE JEAN BART

Thanks for the advice. I am brand new at this. Just signed up tonight. I am looking for a hotel near rue jean bart. Going to visit my son in law and brand new baby boy! Last time I was in Paris, we walked to the catacombs. Not far from his house.
Anyone have any suggestions on ahotel that is nearby? Thanks.

Hi, fabrizio, and welcome.

How about the Hôtel Jean Bart, at 9 rue Jean Bart?

I don't know anything about it, but someone here probably will, and it's certainly convenient.

Rue Jean Bart is only one block long running between rue de Fleurus and rue de Vaugirard in the 6th arrondissement, not particularly close to the catacombs. Are you sure this is the correct street?

If it is, there's a very nice hotel, the Hotel de l'Abbaye, only a block away on rue Cassette.

Hi F,

We always stay at the Hotel Bonaparte, 61 Rue Bonaparte in the 6th. From 97E sngl w/bkfst. It is located near 3 metro stops. Has AC and an elevator.

It is about 0.4 km (6 min walk) from rue Jean Bart.

I have stayed at the Hotel Jean Bart a couple of times. It is an old hotel that is in need of a face lift. The rooms were clean and the price was great. About 55 Euro for a single with bath about 4 years ago. I don't think they have a web site and will have to call for a reservation. You may also have to speak French when they answer. Tel: 01 45 48 29 13 At the time I was there they did not accept credit cards.

Not sure what you'd term 'walking distance' - rue Jean Bart is about 1.5 kilometers from place Denfert Rochereau... Certainly doable on foot, but not just around the corner.

A couple of inexpensive options between rue JB and the Catacombs:

Hôtel Perreyve - just around the corner from rue JB, 63 Rue Madame 75006

Pension les Marroniers - like a B&B, 78, rue d'Assas 75006

Hotel Delambre - 35 rue Delambre 75006

Thanks for your help.
Shellio and Travelnut, by walking distance from the catacombs, I mean probably 30 to 40 minutes from the catacombs to my son in laws house. I will certainly check out all the hotels that were given to me.
StCirq, my son in law is at 4 rue jean bart, so that is probably the closest. I will check it out. Thanks again everyone.

I actually found an apartment 1/2 block from my SIL on Rue Jean Bart. Thanks for all your suggestions though. Now, I am trying to fax something to the apartment rental office in Paris from my home. I have tried everything and cant get the fax to go through. I have the correct fax number. Do I dial 011 then the number? Do I dial 33 then the number? Do I dial a 9 first?? HELP?? The number is 33 1 45 44 68 70. Thanks

011 33 1 45 44 68 70
(that is, you preface with 011 assuming you are calling from the US).
