Hi,
I am just wondering if anyone has ever stayed at the Hotel Metropole in Sliema, Malta before. I will be in Malta for three nights this July, the hotel looks the be good value and in a great position. It has a pool and air conditioning which should be great, as im expecting it to be very hot at this time of year. If anyone has stayed there i would be interested to know of your experiences.
Thanks
Hotel Metropole, Sliema, Malta

I didn't stay at the Metropole but I remember passing it. I believe it's on the bay at the bottom of the hill (the web site didn't pinpoint the exact location in Sliema). The location is good for buses both to Valletta and St. Julian's area. The Metropole rooms look like the rooms at the Crown Plaza Hotel where I stayed (also A/C and pool). I went end of April/beginning of May and the temps were perfect. I didn't turn on the A/C at all - left the slider to the balcony open all the time.
I loved Malta.
