Hi
first question is, how/why did you choose the hotel? Is it a package deal?
Do you still have other options, or is it locked in?

We stayed here in 1997 on our first return trip to Paris, via Trafalgar "Paris Week" package.
It was called Frantour Suffren then, but this is definitely the same hotel.
It is a large property, with a very nice lobby, bar, and breakfast area. Our room had to twin beds, TV, etc and a fairly large bathroom. It was well-maintained, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast area could be very busy/crowded if this is still on the tourbus circuit.
If it is in the 15th it is just barely, b/c the Tour Eiffel is maybe 1-2 blocks over, as is the Seine. The hotel is next to the Hilton.
There are a number of brasseries and cafés in the area, as well as patisseries. You are maybe 1/4 mile away from the popular rue Cler area.
The immediate area around the hotel will not have much going for 'nightlife' (as opposed to being in the 5th or 6th) but there is nothing wrong with this hotel if it is a good package. I think the standard room rates are around $150 or more.
If you have more specific concerns, I'll check back on the post in a day or two...

We stayed there on our first trip to Paris as part of a package, too. It was just fine, including the location. We found ourselves wandering over to the Rue Cler area over and over again for dining and exploring.

We had breakfast delivered to our room every day (you could order it on the TV the night before).

Service throughout the hotel was fabulous.

We just loved walking past the Tour Eiffel going and coming every day!

I agree with Donna. I stayed at this hotel in April 2000, and thought it was great! I went with my sister as part of a package and we couldn't have been happier. As Donna said, it is wonderful to be so close the the Tour Eiffel. And we thoroughly enjoyed walking in the surrounding neighborhood. That is when I was truly sold on Paris, because all of the storekeepers were so warm, welcoming, and helpful in this area. In fact, I will be returning to this hotel this April. I hope that I have the wonderful weather for strolling that I had last time I visited in April. You will have a wonderful time!

By the way, I think that this hotel is JUST outside the 7th arrondisement and is fairly close to a Metro stop.
